iPhone 5 – iOS 7 Download

For those of you that are registered developers, if you haven’t already done so, you can follow our guide to download the Beta 1 IPSW. If you are not registered you can download the firmware without UDID activation but you do so at your own risk. Failing that, you could always pay the $99 per year subscription fee and become a registered developer.

One question that is being asked is when there will be a jailbreak utility for iOS 7.  There is one in the pipeline but it will not be released until after the firmware is launched in public, around September.  At the moment, the hackers are testing the iOS firmware to see which direction to take. As soon as they are ready to release it, you’ll be the first to know.

When iOS 7 is finally ready for public release you’ll want to know how to safely install it on your iPhone 5. There are 3 methods; IPSW, iTunes or OTA. You can use our guide for installing iOS 7 on your iPhone 5.

iOS 7 Beta 5 Update : Apple seems to be on a bit of a roll at the moment. Following a delay due to the security breach at the Development Center, iOS 7 Beta 4 was released a little later with the next one expected on August 12th. However, Beta 5 is now available for download by developers, via an OTA update.

  1. Download iOS 7 IPSW
  2. Connect iPhone 5 and computer and open iTunes
  3. Go into Device Summary
  4. Press SHIFT (Option for Mac) and click on Update simultaneously
  5. Point to the beta 5 IPSW

  1. Is it normal the control center isn’t colourful for the iPhone 5? Mine is just grey. I used the 1428 GSM Canada & US.

  2. I have an iPhone 5 (GSM). I’m not a registered Developer or my device is registered.
If I download the IPSW and upgrade my phone -- will it still work??
I’m reading from few websites that it will work only on registered devices.
    Please let me know.

  4. Hi, I have beta 1 on my iphone. Do I just update to beta 3 or do I have to restore to iOS 6 and then update to beta 3?

  5. i have downloaded and installed ios7 Beta 4 on my device and its been sitting at the loading screen for about ten minutes now and wont go past.

    Any idea why?

  6. Is simple wait for the public acces to me is simple let the developers do the work and when is ready we all woul benefit from it I believe is silly to get something that is not fully develop

  7. Need some help. I had downloaded iOS 7 for the 4s a few weeks ago and it was working great, then my loving husband upgraded my phone today to 5. Now that I’m trying to get iOS7 on it I keep getting a error ” this device isn’t eligible for the requested build”. What does this mean and can it be worked around?? I’ve tried using the Beta 3 because of the activation errors with 4. Any help would be great.

  8. I do accept as true with all of the concepts you have offered in your post. They’re really convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are very brief for beginners. May you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post. eckekgaaeefe

  9. I’m impressed, I have to say. Really not often do I etcnunoer a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me let you know, you have hit the nail on the head. Your concept is outstanding; the problem is one thing that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I’m very glad that I stumbled across this in my search for something referring to this.
