iOS 10.3.2 Jailbreak

Ever since iOS 10 was released, the lack of useable jailbreaks has been very obvious, causing no end of consternation amongst the jailbreak community. Now Apple has pushed iOS 10.3.2 download [ext link] out to the public and that means yet another delay while the jailbreak teams examine the new release to see what, if anything they can do. Right now, we do have a couple of jailbreaks for iOS 10 but they are limited in who can use them and now the jailbreak community is pinning its hopes on an iOS 10.3.2 jailbreak [ext link].

Those jailbreaks both come under the umbrella name of Yalu Jailbreak and were released by Italian developer, Luca Todesco. He has recently announced that he will no longer be providing public jailbreaks and that means Yalu is not going to be updated to support iOS 10.3.2. He did, however, advise users to make sure they save their SHSH blobs from now on, and you can do that with TinyUmbrella [ext link], and also not to update beyond iOS 10.2.1 if they don’t want to lose the chance to jailbreak.

When will we Get an iOS 10.3.2 Jailbreak ?

Although we can’t give you a definitive answer to that, we can say that it probably won’t be for the foreseeable future. Todesco has already told us that things are getting much tougher and, as a security researcher, he would know which may be one of the reasons why he has pulled back. Obviously, we do still have other jailbreak teams but, given that they have maintained silence since iOS 10 was released, we can’t be sure that they are even working in the jailbreak comminute anymore, let alone getting ready to produce and iOS 10.3.2 jailbreak for us.

Of course, there may be a new team waiting around the corner, as often happens with jailbreaking. However, in the event that a jailbreak is released by an outsider, we would need to wait for it to be tested by developers and those who know what they are looking for, to make sure it is safe for the public to use so that will delay things even further.

None of knows what is around the corner; we may have an iOS 10.3.2 jailbreak within a very short while or we may have to wait until another iOS release but, for now, the best thing to do is not update unless you need to and preserve any jailbreak you are using as best you can.
