It’s been a while between jailbreaks this time, with the last one for iOS 9.1 seeming such a long time ago. The gap has now been filled with a brand new jailbreak for iOS 9.2 through to iOS 9.3.3 and it’s called PPHelper. The owners of the jailbreak are Pangu and PP Assistant, both names that are well known in the jailbreak community.

Pangu and PP Jailbreak Teams Did it Again :
Pangu first came on the scene in the early part of 2014 when they released a jailbreak for iOS 7.1. Since then, they have gone on to provide jailbreaks on a very regular basis, eventually taking over to become one of the top jailbreak teams. PP Assistant, on the other hand, were a different matter. Their first appearance was with the Evasi0n jailbreak in December of 2014 when a Chinese App store appeared beside Cydia. The app store was called 25PP and it transpired that it was, in actual fact, a pirate app store. This is something that goes against the grain with the jailbreak teams and the store was very quickly removed.

PP did make a comeback with the only Mac jailbreak for iOS 8.1.4 and proved themselves to be ok. They then produced jailbreaks for iOS 8.3 ad iOS 8.4, being the only team to produce both a Windows and a Mac version for the latter. However, despite the fact that their jailbreaks were sound and safe to use, their releases were marred by accusations from Taig team that they had stolen the exploits and reproduced the Taig jailbreaks. It was at this point that PP disappeared from the jailbreak scene.
iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak Tutorial :
Both teams got together to produce PPHelper but, unfortunately, not everyone is able to use the new jailbreak. Unless you are using Windows and have a 64-bit iOS device, PPHelper will not be available to you. We do expect a version for the Mac to be released at some time but Pangu has confirmed that they will not provide support for 32-bit devices. If you are able to do so, you can use our tutorial, complete with download links, to use PPHelper [ext link] to get iOS 9.2 to iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak [ext link].
iOS 9.3.4 Jailbreak :
Apple has recently released the latest iOS 9.3.4 version and it is only to be expected that people want to know if it can be jailbroken. At this stage the answer to that is, there is no official jailbreak at the moment. However, Luca Todesco has done his usual and demonstrated an iOS 9.3.4 jailbreak [ext link] on an iPhone 6 but will not be releasing it to the public. However, Pangu is currently looking into the new iOS release and we hope to have something from them very soon. In the meantime, don’t update beyond iOS 9.3.3 if you don’t want to lose your jailbreak. iOS 9.3.4 was released purely to patch PPHelper and offers no other incentive to update to it.
