iPad iOS 7 Download – iPad Mini iOS 7 IPSW

When iOS 7 was finally announced, it was to a mixture of cheers and jeers.  While some love the new look, others are not overly fond of it. It does pack a lot of new features, although many of these are quite similar to current jailbreak tweaks.  Shortly after the announcement, Apple released the first Beta to the developers. Unfortunately this is only for the iPhone 5 at the moment but there will be a Beta available for the iPad, both regular and iPad Mini, in the near future.

When the beta version is finally made available for iPad owners, it will only be for those who are registered under the Apple Developer program.  Take a look at our guide for downloading the iPhone 5 beta to get some idea of the process that will be involved.  If you are not registered as a developer, consider doing so, for a cost of $99 per year.

TIP : Identify your iPad Model Number – Link

One question on all lips concerns the untethered jailbreak utility. In short, yes there will be one, but not until after iOS 7 has been publicly released, as is always the case with jailbreaks. As soon as we know more, we’ll let you know. When iOS 7 Full vesrion is ready for the iPad, you will be able to download it either via iTunes, OTA or by downloading the IPSW. See our tutorial on how to carry out all of these methods. In the meantime, subscribe to our newsletter to make sure you know as soon as the beta is released.

Beta 5 Update : Today, Apple has seeded iOS 7 Beta 5 to registered developers, a bit earlier than we originally thought it would be here. This follows a delay to Beta 4 after the Dev center was closed for an overhaul after a security breach.

Beta 5 can be downloaded OTA and will be available in the development center shortly. Open Settings on your iPad, tap General and Software update and your iPad will upgrade to the new beta.

Changes in the new beta are small but do include a redesign of the lock screen, new settings icon design, user interface tweaks and a new toggle in the Control Center – this lets you turn it off while using other apps so that you don’t keep opening it when you swipe up the screen.

Non-developers are welcome to follow these steps to download beta 5:

  1. Download the iPad IPSW for beta 5
  2. Make sure your PC and iPad are connected and then open up iTunes
  3. Enter the summary for your device, hold down SHIFT or OPTION and press on Update in iTunes simultaneously.
  4. Locate the IPSW and let iTunes upgrade your iPad.

If you get an Activation error you can downgrade your iPad to 6.1.3 or you can join the developers program and get the IPSW legally.

I downloaded the .dmg for the iPad iOS 7 Beta 4 and also installed the 7Zip program, I do not see the .IPSW in 7Zip…perhaps I did something wrong, running Win8 on my machine.
