It’s looking more and more likely that iOS 7 will be released, in all its final glory, in September. There’s talk of a new iPhone coming out then as well and it’s likely that both will be released at around the same time. Predictions say it will be officially announced at a Media event on 10th September, released for pre-order on 13th and fully released on 20th September.  Once released, all of those with compatible devices will be able to upgrade free of charge OTA or via iTunes.

iOS 7 contains many new features and a great deal of upgraded existing ones as well as a completely new suit of armor. A colorful one at that.  Some of the new features look a lot like jailbreak tweaks.

At a glance, these are some of the Features in iOS 7:

  • Upgraded Notification Center and Multitasking app
  • AirDrop has been included
  • New security in the shape of Activation Lock
  • Overhauled Maps app with Full Screen and Night Mode
  • Ability to block numbers from contacting you in FaceTime, Messages and Phone apps
  • And much, much more….

If you want to get a look at iOS 7 without actually downloading it and you have a jailbroken device, you can download some of these tweaks, Cydia Themes or iOS 7 Wallpapers (works on non-jailbroken devices as well).

As soon as the official release date is confirmed we’ll let you know.
