iOS 7 Release Date Update

5 weeks ago, iOS 7 was unveiled at Apple’s WWDC and is now on its 3rd Beta.  It’s only officially available to those who are registered developers and the rest will have to wait until is public release date. So when will that be?  Here we have a roundup of the latest iOS  7 news including release date.


It’s looking more and more likely that iOS 7 will be released, in all its final glory, in September. There’s talk of a new iPhone coming out then as well and it’s likely that both will be released at around the same time. Predictions say it will be officially announced at a Media event on 10th September, released for pre-order on 13th and fully released on 20th September.  Once released, all of those with compatible devices will be able to upgrade free of charge OTA or via iTunes.

iOS 7 contains many new features and a great deal of upgraded existing ones as well as a completely new suit of armor. A colorful one at that.  Some of the new features look a lot like jailbreak tweaks.

  • Upgraded Notification Center and Multitasking app
  • AirDrop has been included
  • New security in the shape of Activation Lock
  • Overhauled Maps app with Full Screen and Night Mode
  • Ability to block numbers from contacting you in FaceTime, Messages and Phone apps
  • And much, much more….
